1. Who We Are HeritageStatements.com is a network of qualified conservation architects, historians, and archaeologists providing fixed-fee Heritage Statements and related consultancy services. 2. Our Services We provide fixed-fee Heritage Statements and related planning advice to help clients meet planning and heritage policy requirements. Our services include: Collaborative Desktop Design Reviews Standard Heritage Statements Complex Heritage Statements requiring multiple specialists All work is provided remotely unless otherwise agreed. We do not guarantee that your planning application will be approved. Our role is to provide professional heritage advice and evidence. Final decisions rest with local planning authorities and other statutory bodies.
3. Specialist Matching When you submit an enquiry through our website: We match you with the specialist most experienced in your project type and location. That specialist will review your project and arrange a free 15-minute consultation call. If you wish to proceed, you will receive a fixed-fee proposal and payment instructions.
4. Payments A 50% deposit is required to secure your booking and schedule slot. Once you accept our proposal, you will receive an invoice by email, which includes a secure Stripe payment link for card payment. The remaining 50% balance will be invoiced and payable upon delivery of the final report. All card payments are processed securely through Stripe, which is PCI-DSS compliant. We do not store or have access to your full card details at any time.
5. Cancellations and Refunds Once a deposit has been paid, no refunds are permitted. This is because work begins immediately after acceptance and scheduling. If you need to delay your project, please contact us as soon as possible, and we will do our best to reschedule.
6. Disputes and Resolution If you are unhappy with our service: Contact us first so we can try to resolve the issue informally. If that fails, both parties agree to consider mediation before taking legal action. Any legal claims must be brought under UK law and will be handled in UK courts.
7. Limitation of Liability We take pride in the quality of our heritage advice, but planning decisions involve factors outside our control. We do not accept liability for the success or failure of any planning application, even when our reports are used. Our advice represents professional opinion only, not a guarantee of outcome. We are not responsible for indirect or consequential losses such as project delays, loss of income, or additional costs resulting from planning decisions.
8. Client Responsibilities By engaging our services, you agree to: Provide accurate and complete information about your project. Supply drawings and documents requested by your assigned specialist. Acknowledge that final planning decisions are made by local authorities and other statutory bodies, not HeritageStatements.com. Ensure you have the legal right to share files and project information with us. Make payments promptly through the secure Stripe link provided in your invoice.
9. Website Use You may browse and use this website for personal or business purposes connected to our services. All content on this website – including text, images, and designs – is protected by copyright. You must not copy or reuse it without our permission. We may change website content or these Terms and Conditions at any time without prior notice.
10. Privacy and Data Handling When you submit an enquiry form, we collect your name, email address, site address, project description, and any files you upload. This data is used only to provide our services and is stored securely. We never sell or share your data with third parties, except as required to deliver services (e.g., sharing project details with your assigned specialist). 11. Governing Law These Terms and Conditions are governed by UK law. Any disputes will be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the UK courts.
